We actually do have a feed store not far from us. I've never looked for bird seed but it gives me something to look into. Thanks for the advice. I did pick up some more seed to tide them over. It took a few days to catch on to the fact that there was food again but once they did it was gone quickly.

No problems.....just check the seed to make sure there are no "spider-like" white web stuff in it......it's a type of mold. Not good....

Thanks for the advice. I likely wouldn't have known what the yucky stuff was. Sure don't want to feed my birds something that I wouldn't eat. Still haven't gotten to that feed store though.
