This is the plant that I found my caterpillars on. It is called Lindheimer's Senna. It also uses some other varieties of Senna and a wildflower called Partridge Pea.

They are especially lovely when in full bloom. My largest ones have gotten about 4-5 feet tall when they sprout in a spot that they really like. If anyone would like seeds to try to plant their own I can try to collect some if there are any left. This plant is an annual.

From what I've read the roots will only survive down to about 10 degrees. In warmer temps (growing zones 8 and higher) it is actually supposed to be a perennial.

I'm sure that there will be plenty of new photos as things get growing better.
