Agree.....keep her positive and looking forward. I'll keep her in my meditations....I have a high school friend who survived cancer 4 times. She was just up here to visit....amazing!♥

Re: The Animal Kingdom

I know that she has finished the chemo, a fact for which she is greatly appreciative. There was a severe problem with her former radiologist though.

By means of a faulty diagnosis of an unclear part of an MRI he had her convinced that she had gone from stage 1 to stage 4 practically overnight and that she had very little time to live. It was not at all true. That is not the sort of thing that a recovering patient needs.

She ended up having to retire earlier than she had planned so her teaching career is officially over.

Now it's time for a few wild critters.

Squirrels are pretty cool. When I was around 11 or 12 years old I lived in a place where there was a squirrel that would eat out of my hand. That was exciting for an animal loving kid.

My friend is happier now that the docs have reported the major reduction in size of her primary node and the total dissapearance of several minor ones.

Here are some more critters.

So happy for your friend.....only the best of wishes to her. ♥

Love your critters...that lizard is gorgeous. I miss the Southwest. Where every time we would sit at some outdoor cafe or coffee shop, there would be lizards always hanging on the walls...or scurrying around the floors. emoticon

I need to give her a call again to see how she's feeling. She hasn't been up to having much company so I haven't been to her place lately.

Speaking of lizards on walls I walked out my back door a couple of weeks ago and there was a little Gecko close to the porch light. It stayed still long enough for me to get photos which surprised me.

I finally got in touch with her. She is quite tired most of the time but overall her outlook is very good. Luckily she has found people to help her out with a few challenging tasks like walking her two dogs.
