Amazing butterfly plants
I have discovered that one of the new plants that was added to my garden this year was a fantastic choice.
Gregg's Mistflower is an absolute butterfly magnet. Since mine started blooming they are always covered in Monarchs and Queens. Various Skippers like it too and I even had a Giant Swallowtail visit them as well.
This plant does well in Texas and only grows about a foot tall. It does spread a bit, probably about a foot as well. Mine have lavender blooms but there is supposed to be a white variety as well. Below is a photo of the plant with a visitor.

Re: Amazing butterfly plants
It's a rather airy, lovely plant in and of itself too..

Re: Amazing butterfly plants
They are very nice. I want to get some more when I can.
I've actually had an idea for a new topic. I'm going to add a plant statistics topic for good butterfly and hummingbird plants. In it I'll include all of the normal stuff people want to know about the plants like hardiness, water requirements and so forth.

Re: Amazing butterfly plants
Oh that is a brilliant idea.......because I see your scrolling banner above and think....if I had my own place, what would I plant! So I think that topic would very much come in handy!

Re: Amazing butterfly plants
I shall definitely add that to my list of upcoming projects. There are a lot of good resources that I can pull from.
